With a mono block power amp construction, the Denon AVC-X4800H puts out 125 watts per channel - nearly 20% more power than the model below. Enhanced processing for absolute precision
More than just a powerhouse, the AVC-X4800H has the precision to match. At the heart of the Denon is a 32-bit DDSC (Dynamic Discrete Surround Circuit), with Denon’s top-grade Alpha AL32 processor. Rather than using a single chip, it employs separate components to drive the various parts of the digital processing. Dedicated processing delivers greater precision and accuracy, across the board, giving you more lifelike and detailed sound.

Flexible, 9-channel surround sound
With nine powered channels, the Denon AVC-4800H gives you a wide choice of speaker configurations. Choose between 7.4.2 or 5.4.4 Dolby Atmos speaker configurations with two or four ceiling speakers. Alternatively, stick with 5.4.2 and power a second pair of speakers in another room or bi-amp your main pair of speakers. As your system grows, so the capability of this Denon AVC grows with it.

Upgrade to 11-channel surround
Add an extra stereo power amp and the Denon lets you configure four ceiling or Atmos-enabled speakers as well as full 7-channel surround sound. Alternatively, use two Atmos speakers and enjoy a broad soundstage with 'front wide speakers' forming a 9.2.2 system. If you don't fancy a Dolby Atmos specific system but want the most immersive sound possible, go for an 11.2 configuration. This offers 7.2 sound with the addition of front width and front height speakers.

Connect up to four subwoofers for balanced bass around the room
For the best-balanced bass, the AVX-X4800H has four passive subwoofer outputs. This lets you place a subwoofer in each corner of the room, giving a smooth, even bass response. With four bass channels, you can also use smaller subwoofers. This gives you a tighter, punchier bass whilst not missing any bass weight and depth.

Wide range of immersive 3D sound formats
Whatever speaker configuration you decide upon, the AVC-X4800H has a surround format to suit. Compatible formats include Dolby Atmos, Dolby Atmos Height Virtualization Technology, DTS:X, DTS Virtual:X, IMAX Enhanced, Auro-3D and 360 Reality Audio. This huge range of options means you can adapt your surround sound speaker system from the simplest system with ‘virtual height’ speakers to full-blown 11.4 systems that truly bring the cinema home.

Advanced multi-room functionality and custom install ready
The AVC-X4800H has three HDMI outputs with an independent Zone 2 interface. This means you can run audio and video to another screen, in another room independently from the twin, main outputs. IP control capability for major third-party control devices, as well as Control4 SDPP (Simple Device Detection Protocol) certification, plus three DC triggers makes this AV amp ideal for more complex home installations.

Unique Dirac Live set-up – coming soon*
For the very best sound in your room, Denon is set to offer powerful room correcting technology from Dirac Research. This uses a microphone and dedicated software to take multiple readings around your room and feed the information back to the amplifier for a completely bespoke response (professional set-up recommended).

Audyssey MultEQ XT32 for simple room set-up
Featuring Audyssey's high-end MultEQ XT32 technology, the AVC-X4800H adapts itself to your room's acoustics. The XT32 version of this automatic measuring and set-up device features include Audyssey Dynamic Volume, Dynamic EQ, LFC and SubEQ HT for total control. If you want to take this even further, purchase the MultEQ Editor App (at additional cost) and you've access to advanced user settings.

HDMI interface fully equipped for 8K
The AVC-X4800H is equipped for an 8K future. With no fewer than seven HDMI inputs, all of which are 8K and 4K/120Hz ready, you’ll have all the connectivity you’ll ever need. Two of the three outputs are 8K compatible, too. They support 8K pass-through, 4K/120Hz and 8K upscaling of 4K content, as well, ensuring you get the very best picture from legacy sources.

Brilliant for gamers
The enhanced HDMI interface makes this Denon AV amp the perfect choice for gaming. All HDMI inputs support 4K/120Hz and VRR (Variable Refresh Rate) for the best resolution and clarity. Quick Frame Transport (QFT) and Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM) help eliminate lag and frame tearing, giving you a smoother, more responsive gaming experience.

Wide-ranging HDR support
The AVC-X4800H also supports a wide range of High Dynamic Range video formats. These include Dolby Vision, HDR10 and HLG. It also supports HDR10+, which enhances picture realism by sending dynamic Meta data to your TV, as well as Dynamic HDR. Once you've set up your HEOS speaker system, you can stream music effortlessly via the dedicated HEOS app. Available for Apple iOS and Android, the app not only lets you stream your stored music but also Internet radio services and popular streaming services such as Spotify, Tidal, Napster and Deezer.

Use with your choice of voice assistant
Compatible with Siri, Alexa and Google Assistant, the AVC-X4800H works with your voice assistant of choice. For Alexa or Google Assistant control, simply download the HEOS app. Pair your Echo device if you’re using Alexa and you’re good to go – adjust the volume, skip to the next track and switch inputs simply by asking Alexa or Google. For control via Siri, simply link the amp via Apple AirPlay 2 and enjoy voice interaction and AirPlay 2 multi-room support.
