”Sennheiser’s terrific HD 820s overcome the limitations of closed-back headphones.”– ‘What Hi-Fi’ – 5 Star review. Tested at £1999
A new standard for closed-back headphone sound
Closed-back headphones keep background noise out but can also sound ‘shut in’. The Sennheiser HD820 changes all this. Using innovative technology, these German built headphones set new standards for precision and realism in closed-back headphones.
Hear a transparent sound
The reference, studio quality sound form these headphones comes courtesy of Sennheiser’s breakthrough technology. Unique Ring Radiator transducers with glass covers create stunning realism and detail. The glass reflects sound waves from the rear of the speaker to an absorber which minuses distortion to the lowest levels you’ll hear in this type of headphone.
Pro connectivity
For everyday use, the HD820 comes with a standard, 6.35mm plug connection cable. Being much more than ‘everyday’ headphones, though, they also come with a pro-grade, balanced cable. The balanced connection gives the lowest levels of distortion and is fitted with a balanced 4.4mm Pentaconn plug. An XLR-4 adaptor is also included. Both cables are silver-plated OFC with gold-plated plugs for the purest sound possible.
Reference comfort
There's little point in a reference quality pair of headphones if they're uncomfortable to wear. Fortunately, the Sennheiser HD820s are anything but. The large earcups naturally fit around your ears and are lined with microfiber fabric for cool, sweat-free contact. The metal headband features an inner damping element and generous padding for comfort right around your head.
Hear the best of all worlds, with the Sennheiser HD820.
