"A solid, easy-to-use deck that reaffirms Pro-Jects supremacy in the budget market." What Hi-Fi? magazine. 5-star review. Tested at £190.
A proper turntable engineered for the best sound
Putting engineering excellence above bells and whistles, the Pro-Ject Primary is designed for the best sound quality at its price. The deck has a low vibration, DC motor making it quiet and smooth running. The main bearing is made from stainless steel and runs within a Teflon-coated bronze bushing. This type of engineering quality is usually reserved for much more expensive decks and helps give the Primary its class-leading sound quality.
Plug n play
Despite offering genuine hi-fi sound, the Primary has been designed to be as unintimidating as possible. From unboxing, all thats needed is for the platter to be placed on the bearing, the belt attached, the stylus guard removed and youre good to play. Both cartridge and counter weight are already fixed so theres no need for complex adjustments.
Factory-fitted Ortofon cartridge
This deck comes pre-fitted with a top quality Ortofon OM5e cartridge. Usually valued at over £50 on its own, its a fantastic bonus to have this bundled in with the turntable. Its elliptical shaped stylus provides a balanced and distortion-free sound thats also kind to your records in terms of its low wear rate.
Simple is best
In a classic case of form following function, the Project Primary offers effortless style through its pared down minimalism. To emphasize the style statement, you can also order the Primary in matte white as well as the more traditional black.
The ideal starter turntable, the Project Primary is the perfect introduction to vinyl seduction.
