"A well-made, well-featured and solid-sounding product, the Arcam Solo Music is indeed a complete one-box stereo system." What Hi-Fi? magazine. 5-star review. Tested at £1500.
Power with control from Class-G amp
Drawing on over 40 years experience in amps, Arcam have set a new class standard for sound quality. Using a unique Class-G amplifier gives the Solo Music power generous power and incredibly low distortion. This means deep, powerful bass in even larger rooms and with low efficiency speakers is now possible. At the same time the subtlest detail is not lost on the Solo Music, meaning the sound is just as the producer intended.
High quality Bluetooth streaming
For easy access to your digital music library or favourite music services, such as Spotify and Apple Music, the Arcam Solo Music is equipped with Bluetooth. Simply pair your smartphone, tablet, laptop or computer and enjoy high quality music streaming from the aptX-equipped Bluetooth receiver.
SACD playback
In addition to making a great CD player, the Arcam Solo Music also replays SACDs (Super Audio Compact Discs). These Direct Stream Digital (DSD) discs offer a far higher resolution than ordinary CDs and are similar in resolution to 24-bit music files. The result is a more natural sound, revealing subtle detail and texture in the music.
Stream music via UPnP
The Arcam Solo Music also features a very handy built-in streamer. You can link to your system by wired Ethernet or by built-in Wi-Fi. Compatible with UPnP and CIFS audio streaming standards, the Solo Music is the ideal device for listening to music stored on your NAS drive, laptop, PC or Mac.
MusicLife iOS control app
If youve got an Apple iPod Touch, iPhone or iPad, then you can take full control of streaming music to your Solo Music with the MusicLife control app. Working with the Bluetooth receiver, it lets you stream music directly from your device as well as servers or computers connected via UPnP. Advanced features, such as library searching, sorting, shuffle and repeat playback are also catered for.
DAB tuner radio
For more conventional listening, the Arcam also has a DAB/FM tuner radio built in. With both analogue FM and digital DAB broadcasting covered, you can listen to nearly all the national and local stations available.
Bring out your records - phono stage as standard
When it comes to the vinyl revolution, the Solo Music takes a front row seat. The dedicated phono stage (Moving Magnet) built into the system is a high quality device in its own right. Unlike many integral phono stages that are simply there to make up the spec, the Arcams has been carefully developed to provide low noise and high levels of detail within the music.
All the inputs you could want - including HDMI
Unusually for a stereo system, the Arcam Solo Music comes equipped with an HDMI interface. The four HDMI inputs and output are ideal for linking up streaming devices, such as the Apple TV, with your TV connected for its role as a display. Its also the ideal way of getting superb sound from video sources, without having to buy a full surround sound AV receiver. USB, optical, coaxial digital and AUX 3.5mm inputs are all standard, too.
Genuine hi-fi quality sound from an all-in-one solution, the Arcam Solo Music gives the best of both worlds.
