In selecting the drive units for the SX60, Cambridge Audio have put sound quality ahead of all other considerations. A silk dome tweeter gives the ideal combination of crisp detail with a smooth refined sound - the ideal compliment for many budget amplifiers. Matching this is a custom-designed woofer with a treated paper cone. Although this might sound basic, the material helps give the SX60 speakers a fast, responsive sound quality with excellent bass timing.

POWERFUL BASS RESPONSE

Using a larger cabinet and woofer cone than the smaller SX50, the SX60 is ideal for larger rooms or for when a more dynamic sound is required. Bass reaches down to a lower depth and the presence of sound is greater, for a more immersive musical experience.

RIGID MDF CABINET

Ensuring the drive units sound their very best, the SX60 uses rigid MDF cabinets. Designed to minimise standing waves, the cabinets help further in producing a clean, accurate sound. For a well balanced bass, even at lower volume levels, the SX60 speakers are front ported. Should you which to place the speakers close to a rear wall or use them in a smaller room then you can dampen the ports with the provided foam inserts, giving a sound more attuned to the room.
